Bar Rivet Guide
The Screw Rivet (also known as a Chicago Screw) is a traditional hardware choice for its strength and clean aesthetic. This guide will show you how to securely fasten your Leather Brut leather goods.
Step 1. Preparation (Optional)
This step applies only to products bundled with Epoxy Buttons.
For certain case models, we include Epoxy Buttons to ensure a crisp, responsive click.
Step 2. Insert and Align
Ensure a snug, centered fit for the best results.
Step 3. Secure with the Bar Rivet
Follow the configuration based on your specific case model.
Check Your Assembly Style
- Option A: Standard Outside Fit The most common setup. The leather strap sits on the outside of the case. The bar rivet passes through the strap, then the case, and finally your device loop.
- Option B: Secure Inside Fit Specifically designed for select Porsche, Toyota, and Lexus models. The strap is tucked inside the case, between the device and the leather walls, for a more integrated, compact look.
💡 Pro Tips for Security:
- Prevent Loosening: For extra security, we recommend placing a small drop of threadlocker (e.g., Blue Loctite) or wood glue inside the nut before tightening.
- Keep it Tight:Â Ensure the screw is fully tightened to prevent loss.
- Check Periodically:Give the bar rivet a quick check or re-tighten it occasionally to ensure your essentials stay safe.
