Screw Rivet Guide

The Screw Rivet (also known as a Chicago Screw) is a traditional hardware choice for its strength and clean aesthetic. This guide will show you how to securely fasten your Leather Brut leather goods.

Step 1. Preparation (Optional)

This step applies only to products bundled with Epoxy Buttons.
For certain case models, we include Epoxy Buttons to ensure a crisp, responsive click.

Step 2. Insert and Align

Ensure a snug, centered fit for the best results.

Insert: Slide it into the leather case. Give it a firm push to ensure it is seated all the way at the bottom.
Align: Once inserted, adjust it so it sits perfectly centered within the case.
Check: Make sure it is not tilted and is aligned correctly with the case's shape.

A Note on Our Leather: Our premium, full-grain Italian leathers are known for their natural strength and varying thickness. Your case may feel very tight at first, but this is intentional. Like a fine pair of leather shoes, it will stretch and mold perfectly to your device within a few days of use, resulting in a flawless, custom fit.

Step 3. Fasten and Secure

Connect your hardware and strap for a long-lasting, secure assembly.

💡 Pro Tips for Security:

Prevent Loosening: For extra security, we recommend placing a small drop of threadlocker (e.g., Blue Loctite) or wood glue inside the nut before tightening.
Keep it Tight: Ensure the screw is fully tightened to prevent loss.
Check Periodically: Like all mechanical fasteners, screws can naturally loosen with daily use. We recommend checking or re-tightening your hardware occasionally to keep your essentials safe.
